Learning English During the Pandemic
疫情时期，停课一直学
How did you spend your time when school was cancelled (消除) due to the COVID-19 pandemic? I bet you were told not to gather (会集) with others and had much more time at home, right?
My English teacher Mrs Luo started a WeChat reading group during the winter holiday. All group members would read English picture books twice a week and take online quizzes.
The most impressive book I read was The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It tells the story of a small creature slowly turning into a butterfly. The little caterpillar eats a lot from Monday to Saturday. On Saturday night, it turns into a cocoon. The next morning, a beautiful butterfly flies out. How amazing嘛！
There are many words about food in this book. Some of them were difficult for me. Mrs Luo helped me a lot. After a few days of practice (训练), I slowly learnt how to pronounce (发音) those words correctly. I like reading this book and I am proud of myself for trying so hard.
I am happy to have such a good teacher. She takes me into the magical world of reading嘛！
